Keweenaw Peninsula of the the UP Michigan
We spent September, 2012 as campground hosts at McClain State Park near Hancock-Houghton, Michigan, which is on the southern end of the Keweenaw Peninsula of the U.P. The coastal areas of Lake Superior are spectacular and resemble the coast of Maine in many ways. The Eagle Harbor light house is unique. On the far western end of the UP are the Porcupine Mountains State Park. It has great wilderness areas and waterfalls.
