Several prints on this page are infra-red black & white. SInce a blue sky does not reflect infrared light it turns black in the photo. Green leaves reflect a white image that almost looks like snow. To the photographer, there is a lot of guess work as to what the image will look like and the deep red filter that is used makes exposures long. 3 to 5 seconds is normal exposure. Notice that the water in the river shot reflects almost nothing. The country church is near Menomonie, WS. and right across the road from the Cady Cheese Factory (GREAT STUFF).
